How Shifting This Conference to Hybrid Allowed Everyone To Collaborate
The Bureau of Digital allows its 8,000+ members to attend its annual meeting, once a year, to learn from each other. Despite the pandemic blocking a fully in-person summit meeting in 2022, we were able to pull off a hybrid event that allowed 100% access to all members, regardless of where they were in the world. They wanted to find a way to bring everyone together without the pressure of being physically present together.
Utilizing a hybrid platform, avad3 was able to connect all members of the organization without the need for canceling the event. Some of the members met in person at the beautiful Hard Rock Cafe in Orlando, Florida. The other remaining members watched the conference from a Livestream, real-time. These online attendees were able to ask questions over the stream and talk to the presenters directly. This removed the walls that previously separated the collaboration of members and dramatically increased the value of the presentation.
Time and time again, hybrid events have been shown to drastically increase collaboration and attendance despite any other barriers your event may face. Community drives collaboration. And in the business world, collaboration is a must. Inviting high-level presenters with valuable topics and making that viewable to all members made the return on the Bureau’s investment priceless.
